It is with great sadness that our Association has learned of the passing of our friend and colleague, Carol J. Ebinger. Carol spent many years supporting various German-American organizations and our Association, most recently as Recording Secretary and longtime Band Chairlady. We will miss her counsel, expertise and friendship. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this this time of hardship and loss.

The Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 29th, at 11:00a.m. at Kevin Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA 19036 Friends may call Sunday, December 28th, from 6-9 p.m. and Monday from 9-10:45a.m. at Kevin Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA 19036.

The Association would like to thank our Grand Marshal, Brigadier General Carol Eggert; the Junior ROTC units; our Cornflower Court; our guests from New York; as well as all participants in this year's parade. Without your participation, either marching or watching, we would not be able to continue our tradition. As we begin planning for our 45th Parade, we hope to see you next year!

Come out and celebrate our 44th Annual German-American Steuben Parade on Saturday, 27 Saturday 2014. The Association pleased to announce that, Brigadier General Carol A. Eggert, will be the Grand Marshal for the 44th Annual German-American Steuben Parade!

The Association is proud to introduce its 2014-2015 Cornflower Court  which was named during this year's German Day celebration. This year's Court consists of: Miss Luise Martini, Miss German - America of Philadelphia; Miss Danika Gottbrecht, 1st Princess; Miss Brittany Mann, 2nd Princess; and Miss Mary Shustack, Miss Kolping. Please join us in congratulating them on their achievement. They will be representing our community for the next 12 months.


German Day 2014

Mark your calendars and come out to support the 2014 German - American Steuben parade by attending this year's German Day celebration on 22 June 2014. This years event will be hosted by the Vereinigung Erzgebirge in Warminster, Pennsylvania. We will be commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. 2014 Miss German-America Competition

The Miss German-America of Philadelphia contest is underway. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 25 by 22 June 2014, single, and an American citizen or a legal resident alien who has lived in the United States for at least 2 years. General knowledge of the German language is helpful, but not required. Interested persons must be able to attend German Day on 22 June 2014 for the competition and crowning, as well as appear at various German American functions throughout the 2014-2015 year. Prizes include but are not limited to: $1000 scholarship and the title of Miss German-America of Philadelphia; $500 scholarship for the first runner-up and the title of Princess; and $250 scholarship for the second runner-up and the title of Princess.  Complete details can be found by clicking on the Application link below.
